Producing a quality rock song starts with the right recording process. With years of experience, The Reveler utilizes a multi-step recording process to achieve the ultimate in sonic quality:
Step 1 Scratch Tracking/ Pre-production – Raw, live recording of the material used as a tool to provide album overview, refine song structure and arrangement, generate click tracks/headphone mixes and more.
Step 2 Drum Tracking – Record drum tracks with scratch headphone mix and click track. (Use of click track is dependent upon material and artist preference.)
Step 3 Instrument Tracking – Record bass, guitars, etc. over existing drum tracks.
Step 4 Overdub Tracking – Record instrument edits, overdubs and solos.
Step 5 Vocal Tracking – Record lead vocal tracks (multiple 'takes' recorded for 'comp' process during editing – see Mixdown page).
Step 6 Background Vocal Tracking – Record backing vocal tracks.
For studio clients with significant budget constraints, the recording steps above may be consolidated* (i.e.- simultaneous recording of instrumentation/vocals) to reduce studio time. However, The Reveler is committed to producing only professional quality recordings. The Music is Our Priority.
*Please be advised that any consolidation of the recording process will degrade the quality of the final recording by limiting or sacrificing the following:
